用法

(1)作pron.用的somebody比someone稍为通俗。

(2)somebody, someone通常当作单数用:

Somebody [Someone] seems to have called on me in my absence, I wonder who he was.

(我不在的时候有人找我,我不晓得是谁。)

但,尤其在

,亦可以用they [them, their, etc.]来代表:

Somebody [Someone] came into the drive-in, ordered their meal, ate it, and then hastily departed with a friend of theirs.

(有人进到免下车餐馆,点了菜,吃完就匆匆和一位朋友离开。)

(3)someone表示有限人数当中的[某人],因此可以说someone of you,但somebody不能用这种说法。
